Indian Ingredients Method From the mixture, roll the contents into golf ball sized balls, cover and leave for 15 minutes. Meanwhile take the gram flour and chilli powder, salt and two tablespoons of oil. Then stir and add warm water till you get a paste like mixture. Put some oil in a deep pan suitable for deep-frying and gently heat it. Once the oil is hot, turn down to a medium setting. Then take the potato balls and dip them, one by one, into the paste and then gently into the oil-Be Careful when doing this as the oil is hot. Allow the potato balls (Bataka Wada) to cook properly until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove from pan and place on tissue paper (to absorb excess oil and cool). Finally garnish with some chopped coriander and serve hot with your choice of sauce. |
