Indian Melayalee
Cultural cooking try a Kerala dish at your home. Here is the recipe for Avial, which is an indispensable savoury item for any Malayalees' traditional dish.

Ingredients
3x muringakha (known as vegetable drumsticks)
2x potato
2x green bananas
1x aubergine
3x carrots
cucumber
3x green chilli
2 tablespoons curd
mustard seeds
curry leaves
coconut-1/2 portion

Directions
Cut all the vegetables into equal pieces. Wash them well and cook in a pan with 3 cups of water and 1 teaspoon of salt for 10 minutes.
Grind coarsely one cup of grated coconut, 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds and half teaspoon of turmeric. Add all these to the vegetables.
Let it cook for another 10 minutes in low heat. Remove from heat and add the curd and stir well. In a frying pan, add 2 tablespoon of oil. When it becomes hot, put 1 teaspoon mustard seeds, leave it until it pops.
Add one-tablespoon finely chopped onions two dried red chillies and a few curry leaves until fried. Garnish this on top the vegetables and stir well.

Add salt according to taste. Now your Avial is ready to be served with rice.
